Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Software Testers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will work closely with our development team in an agile fashion to ensure
the quality and reliability of our deliverables. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for a wide range of testing activities, including general software testing for web and mobile applications, API testing, load and performance testing, creating test cases, regression testing, and integration testing. Candidates with scripting knowledge and Linux understanding are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the development team to understand project requirements and identify testing needs.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both new and existing software features.
- Perform thorough testing of web and mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance meet quality standards.
- Conduct API testing to verify the functionality, reliability, and security of backend systems.
- Perform load and performance testing to assess system scalability and stability under various conditions.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components and systems.
Requirements:
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or Quality Assurance Engineer, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and practices.
- Knowledge of standard bug tracking system, processes.
- Experience in testing web and mobile applications, including functional, UI/UX, and compatibility testing.
- Proficiency in API testing tools and techniques, with a solid understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
- Experience with load and performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell scripting, or similar.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
- ISTQB or similar certification in software testing is a plus.
